Apply In-Person:
- To apply for renewal or replacement of Expatriate Quota Approval Certificate in person, the applicant has to visit the Citizenship and Business Department of the Minister of Interior.
- The address and contact details can be found in the following link: Link
- Visit the office and obtain an application form for renewal or replacement of Expatriate Quota Approval Certificate from the relevant department.
- Make sure that you have all the documents mentioned in the “Required documents” section of this page.
- Complete the application form as required with necessary details and relevant information.
- After completing the application form, attach the required documents with the application form.
- Then, submit to the relevant authority at the office and also pay the required amount of fees as directed by the officials.
- Submitted application and attached documents will be forwarded for further verification processes.
- Once all the processes are completed, concerned officials will approve the application and proceed with the further processes.
- If the renewed Certificate is ready to be collected, office will inform the applicant to collect it through any applicable means.
Apply Online
- To apply for renewal or replacement of Expatriate Quota Approval Certificate online, the applicant has to visit the ECITIBIZ portal of the Ministry of Interiors, Nigeria by clicking the following link: apply online
- If you have an account already, you can enter the user details, click “Log in” and proceed. If not, click “New User Registration” link below and click the “Corporate Account (Business Expatriate Quota)” option under “Corporate” tab in the next page.
- Click “register now” button, registration page will open, enter all the details required and click “Register” button. Account preview will be displayed, scroll down and click “Proceed” button.
- A verification email will be sent to your email ID, open the email and click on the “click here” link to activate the account. Under the email confirmation message, “click here” link will be given, click on that to proceed.
- Login page will be opened, log in again by following the instructions mentioned before. Basic company profile should be set up the first time you log in after registration.
- Set it up by filling the required details, uploading the documents’ soft copies as required and click “Apply for Renewal of Expatriate Quota” button to apply for the renewal.
- You will be redirected to a page that shows a Table containing the list of all Expatiate Quota Services the User has applied for. Click on the Expatiate Quota application you wish to renew.
- Upload the required document and click on “Renew All” to renew all the expatriate quota positions available for that particular application.
- Or else, there is a check box “Check to Renew Position”, you can tick the Checkbox to choose the particular Expatiate Quota Position to Renew.
- You can click “Save to Draft” to save the application and Continue Later or click “Cancel” to terminate the application.
- After completing, click “Proceed” button, then a message will pop-up, click “Yes” button if you want to lodge another application or click “No” button and click “Proceed to payment” button.
- A summary page is displayed for the user to verify that all information has been inputted correctly. Tick the Check box at the bottom of the summary page to declare that all information is true.
- Click “Proceed to Payment” in summary of application and proceed to payment. Your Payment Summary page will come up. Click “Online Pay” to use the online payment method or click “Pay through Bank or POS” to generate RRR (Invoice) for your offline payment.
- After submission, the submitted applications and attached documents will be put forth for verification and validation.
- After checking and finding that the requirements have been furnished properly, the officials will proceed to perform further required actions.
- Once all the necessary processes are over and the Certificate is ready for collection, you will be notified and asked to collect the document.

EligibilityEdit
- Any Expatriate Quota Approval certificate holder, whose Certificate needs to be renewed, can apply.
- The applicant must have filed the required returns up to date for the Expatriate Quota that he/she has obtained.
- The applicant must have the Original Corporate Tax Clearance Certificate while applying.
