Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for renewal of Self-Help Group/Community Project Registration in person, the applicant has to visit the office of the Ministry of Women Affairs of Social Development.
2. You can find the address and contact details in the “Office Locations & Contacts” section of this page.
3. Visit the office with a formal application letter for the renewal of Self-Help Group/Community Project Registration from the relevant department.
4. Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Complete the application form with required details and information in respective fields and sections.
6. Attest it with your signature and attach the required documents with the completed application form.
7. Submit it to the relevant authority at the office and pay the Application and Processing fee as directed by the officials.
8. After submission, the application and other documents will be forwarded for examination and verification processes.
9. Once the verification and validation processes are over, the application will be approved and the officials will proceed to take required steps to issue the renewed Registration Certificate.
10. When the license is ready to be collected, the applicant will be notified by the office and the applicant can collect it by any applicable means.

Eligibility

Any registered Self-Help Group/Community Project in Nigeria, can apply for a renewal if its validity period is about to expire and he/she intends to extend the registration period.

The registration is valid for a period of two years.
