Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for renewing Licence to Practice nursing in person, the applicant must visit the office of the Nursing & Midwifery Council of Nigeria.

3. Visit the office and obtain an application form to be completed for renewing Licence to Practice nursing with respect to the requirement from the relevant department.
4. Complete the forms with appropriate information under relevant sections. Attest the forms with your signature once completed.
5. Once completed filling the application form, make sure that you attached all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. Then, submit it in person to the relevant authority at the office. Make the stipulated payment as directed by the officials.
7. After submission, the application and other documents will be forwarded for examination and verification processes.
8. Once the verification and validation processes are over and if the application is found sufficient, it will be approved and the officials will proceed to take required steps to issue the renewed license.
9. When the document is ready to be collected, the applicant will receive a notification from the office through email or phone call regarding the collection and the applicant can collect them by any applicable means.

1. To apply for renewing license to practice Nursing online, the applicant has to visit the following online portal Link
2. Visit the link and click on the “Register” button if you are new to the portal or click on the “Login” button if you already have an account.
3. If you are new, you will have to provide the necessary details as required in the respective fields of the registration page.
4. Do as applicable and complete the registration to obtain the user details.
5. User details and password will be sent to you through email along with an account activation link.
6. Verify your email ID and activate the account. After that, login using the user details and locate the option for “Renewal of Nursing License”.
7. Online application page will be opened. Complete the form with required details in respective fields under relevant sections.
8. Then, submit it by clicking the applicable button. After submission of the application, the application and other documents will undergo examination and verification processes.
9. Once the verification and validation processes are over and if the application is found sufficient, it will be approved.
10. When the document is ready to be collected, the applicant will receive a notification from the office through email or phone call regarding the collection and the applicant can collect them by any applicable means.

Eligibility

• Any nursing license holder, whose license is about to expire, can apply.

Fees

• The current renewal fee is Ten thousand five hundred naira (N10,500) only for three years, penalty of five thousand two hundred and fifty naira(N5,250) for each year of default.

Validity

Practising license are valid for a period of three years.
