Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. To pay Property Tax bills in Nigeria visit the Municipality Board/Local Government Area/State Government Office in your area.
2. The address ad contact details of the office can be found in “Office and Contact details” section of this page.
3. Visit the Office and Ask for the relevant department to pay PROPERTY TAX bills.
4. Process your payment by showing your PROPERTY TAX bill and the registration number of your property.
5. Please pay the correct required amount without any shortages to the authority.
6. Now when your payment is done receive your payment reference number for further reference.

Eligibility

• You should be a Nigerian citizen and your age should be of 18 years.
• You should hold a property under Government of Nigeria that is registered legally.

Fees

• The property tax charges and fees vary from State to State in Nigeria.
• The property tax amount is calculated based on the residential area. So, it varies from one property type to other.

Validity

• The property tax document is valid for one year only. Every year, you should renew it by paying annual fees.
