Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for Product Certification for Fire Service equipments in person, the applicant has to visit any zonal command of the Federal Fire Service.
2. The list of zonal commands and their addresses can be found in the following addresses link
3. Visit the office and get an application form for Product (Equipment) Certification for Fire Service from the respective department.
4. Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Now, complete the application form with appropriate information under relevant sections. Attest it with your signature once completed.
6. Once completed filling the application form, submit it in person to the relevant authority at the office.
7. Pay the required amount of fees for application processing and registration.
8. After submission, the application and other documents will be forwarded for examination and verification processes.
9. The technical officers conduct inspection of the equipments and submit report to the Product Certification Directorate.
10. The reports including results of analysis are assessed and recommendations made to the Director General for approval.
11. Upon approval of the Director, the applicant is informed regarding the approval through phone or email and asked to collect the Certificate through any applicable means.
