Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To obtain permit or license for Natural Gas Plant Facility in person, the applicant has to make an application to the Director of Department of Petroleum Resources.

3. Visit the office and obtain an application form for license to establish a Natural Gas Plant Facility from the relevant department.
4. Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Complete the application form and attach the documents (as required) with the completed application. Submit it to the Director.
6. After necessary verification and evaluation, if the application is found sufficient, the Director may grant the applicant the licence to establish the Gas plant consequent upon which the applicant may proceed with the detailed Engineering.
7. On receipt of Licence to establish, applicant shall submit the detailed engineering design reports of the gas plant facility to the Department of Petroleum Resources.
8. The applicant will also make formal presentation of the detailed engineering package to the Department.
9. On doing so, the Director may grant the applicant an approval to construct the gas plant once after the submitted design is found sufficient and compliant.
10. Further, the applicant company will proceed to mechanically erect and install of the plant.
11. Upon mechanical completion of the plant, a pre-commissioning inspection of the facility shall be carried out by the Department prior to the issuance of operating licence.
12. If the stipulated pre-requisites have been furnished properly during the inspection, the applicant’s request for license to operate will be approved.
13. Then, the applicant will be notified through phone or email and asked to collect the document.
