Apply In-Person:

  1. To obtain permit or license for Downstream Gas facilities in person, the applicant has to visit the office of the Department of Petroleum Resources.

  3. Visit the office and obtain an application form for Permit or license for Import Downstream Gas facilities with respect to the need from the relevant department.
  4. Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. Complete the application form and attach the documents (as required) with the completed application.
  6. Then submit the application package to the relevant authority at the office. Pay the required amount of fees as directed by the officials.
  7. After submission, the submitted applications and attached documents will put forth for verification and validation.
  8. On checking and finding that the requirements have been furnished properly, the officials will proceed to perform further required actions.
  9. An inspection will be conducted for verifying the business premises and analyzing the technical competence as well as financial capability.
  10. Once all the necessary processes are over and the permit/license is ready for collection, you will be notified through phone or email and asked to collect the document.


Apply online

  1. To obtain a permit or license for Downstream gas facilities online, the applicant has to visit the following online application portal apply online
  2. Visit the link and click “Gas” tab present on your right side and select the type of license you want to apply for.
  3. Then, enter your user credentials in the respective fields in the opening page and click “Login” button.
  4. Otherwise, click “Register” option present above, account creation page will open, enter the details asked for and click “Next” button.
  5. Then, enter email address and password, and then click “Create Account” button.
  6. After that, you will receive a confirmation email with a link, open your inbox and click “Confirm Email” link and activate your account.
  7. You will be redirected to the login page in which you can enter your activated account credentials and login.
  8. Terms & Conditions page will get opened, click “Yes, I Agree” button to proceed. You will have to update your company profile at first.
  9. Do it as applicable and click “update profile” button, click “yes” in the pop-up that appears. Then click “Done & proceed” button to proceed.
  10. You can find ‘My Applications’ tab at the top, make a click on it and select the type which you want to apply for.
  11. Follow the on-screen instructions and complete application form, upload the required documents and make the necessary payment.
  12. On successful submission of documents and payment, the submitted applications and attached documents will put forth for verification and validation.
  13. On checking and finding that the requirements have been furnished properly, the officials will proceed to perform further required actions.
