Apply In-Person:

  1. To apply for getting Free Port License for Oil and Gas Industries in person, the applicant must visit the office of the Oil and Gas Free Zones Authority.
  2. The address and contact details of the Authority can be found in the following contact link
  3. Visit the office and obtain an application form to be completed for getting Free Port License for Oil and Gas Industries from the relevant department.
  4. Else, application form can be downloaded by clicking the following application form Link
  5. Complete the application forms with appropriate information under relevant sections. Attest it with your signature once completed.
  6. Once completed filling the application form, make sure that you attached all the documents listed in the “Required documents” section of this page.
  7. Then, submit it in person to the relevant authority at the office. Make the stipulated payment as directed by the officials.
  8. After submission, the application and other documents will be forwarded for examination and verification processes.
  9. Once the verification and validation processes are over, the application will be approved and the officials will proceed to take required steps to issue the license.
  10. When the license document is ready to be collected, the applicant will receive a notification from the office through email or phone call regarding the collection of the license and the applicant can collect it by any applicable means.

  • Evidence of Registry Stamp Duty of 0.75%

  • Any Oil and Gas Industry in Nigeria, that wishes to obtain a Free Port License for an enclosed area near to or inside a seaport or airport, can apply.
  • The applying industry must have registered/incorporated inside or outside Nigeria.
  • The industry must have a Minimum Share Capital of $500,000.
