Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for deregistration of a Self-Help Group/Community Project in person, the applicant has to visit the office of the Ministry of Women Affairs of Social Development.
2. You can find the address and contact details in the “Office Locations & Contacts” section of this page.
3. Visit the Ministry office with a written application for De-registration of a Self-Help Group/Community Project.
4. Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Attach the required documents with the written application.
6. Then, proceed to submit the application package to the relevant authority at the office in person for further processes.
7. After successful submission, pay the cost of application and for the de-registration process as directed by the officials.
8. On receipt of the stipulated payment, the agency will start the assessment of the application and verification of the attached documents.
9. If the application and attached documents are found sufficient, the officials will proceed to issue the notice of deregistration.
10. Once all the necessary processes are over, the applicant will be informed through phone or email to collect the notice of de-registration and the group/project will be deregistered from the Registry.
