Apply In-Person:

  1. To apply for Film Shooting Permit in person, the applicant must visit the office of Nigerian Film Corporation.
  2. Address and contact details of the NFC can be found in the following page: Link
  3. Visit the office and get an application form for Film Shooting Permit as applicable to your requirement from the respective department.
  4. Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required documents” section of this page.
  5. Now, complete the application form with appropriate information under relevant sections. Attest it with your signature once completed.
  6. Once completed filling the application form, attach the required documents with the application form and submit it in person to the Managing Director at the office.
  7. After submission, the application and other documents will be forwarded for examination and verification processes.
  8. Once the verification and validation processes are over, the application will be approved and the officials will proceed to take required steps to issue the permit.
  9. When the document is ready to be collected, the applicant will receive a formal notification from the office and the applicant can collect it by any applicable means.

EligibilityEdit

  • Any foreigner, who wishes to conduct his/her film shooting process partly or wholly in Nigeria, can apply.
  • The application process can be carried out by the producers or his/her local representatives or logistics producer/facilitator.

  • Feature film: $500
  • Documentary film: $150
  • TV Drama/series and Reality TV Show film: $4250
  • Commercials: $350

  • Please note that the application to the office of Government Nigerian Film Corporation should be made not later than ten (28) days prior to the day on which he/she is due to commence filming.
  • Applicants are advised to complete the application form neatly and completely with absolute legibility and appropriateness to avoid rejections. Also, all the required documents must be furnished completely.
  • Applicants can enquire the office about the fees details and payment procedure if they have any doubts.
