Note: Generally, viewing the Canada Pension Plan Statement of Contributions can be done online using My Service Canada Account or mailing address of Canada Pension Plan whereas updating any incorrect information can be done only through mail.

Apply Online

  • Using GC Key
  1. To view Canada Pension Plan Statement of Contributions online using GC Key, the applicant has to visit the following apply online link
  2. Visit the link and scroll down to the bottom, then click “Start now” button.
  3. In the page that opens, enter the user details in the respective fields and then click “Sign In” button, if applicable.
  4. Or, click the “Sign Up” button to create an account. Click “I accept” button and type an appropriate username in the next tab.
  5. Click “Continue” button and create a password for the new account in the next tab, then click “Continue” button.
  6. Create Recovery Questions, Answers and Hints in the next page and click “Continue” button. Click “I agree” button in the next page.
  7. In the next page, there will be two options to help verifying user’s identity. Select an applicable option.
  8. Once signed in with GC Key and have verified the identity, the applicant should create their MSCA profile.
  9. Follow the onscreen instructions and complete the profile creation. Proceed to sign in using the Username and Password.
  10. After profile creation, locate the applicable option to view the Canada Pension Plan (CPP) Statement of Contributions and click on it.
  11. The applicant can also click on the applicable option to print the CPP Statement of Contributions to look on it at his/her convenience.


  • Using Bank account
  1. To view Canada Pension Plan Statement of Contributions online using bank account, the applicant has to visit the following apply online link
  2. Visit the link and click “Start now” button which will be at the bottom of the page.
  3. List of financial Sign-In Partners will be displayed in the next page, from which the applicant has to select one in which he/she has subscribed online banking.
  4. Respective online banking portal will be opened, login into it using the user credentials.
  5. After logging in, there will be two options to help verifying the applicant’s identity. Select an applicable option.
  6. Once verified the identity, the applicant should create their MSCA profile.
  7. Follow the onscreen instructions and complete the profile creation. Proceed to sign in using the Username and Password.
  8. After profile creation, locate the applicable option to view the Canada Pension Plan (CPP) Statement of Contributions and click on it.
  9. The applicant can also click on the applicable option to print the CPP Statement of Contributions to look on it at his/her convenience.


Apply through mail

  1. To view or update Canada Pension Plan Statement of Contributions through mail, the applicant has to send an application to the Contributor Client Services through mail.
  2. First, the applicant who wants to get a copy of the statement has to compose a request letter.
  3. Employed Individuals who needs to correct/update any incorrect information regarding their contributions and earnings data, should get a signed letter on company letterhead from each of their employers.
  4. The letter should confirm all the applicant’s earnings and contributions to the Canada Pension Plan for the year(s) in question.
  5. List of other documents to be sent in support of the application can be found in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  6. Combine the letter of request and other required documents together and send it through a suitable mail service.
  7. Mailing address, to which the request should be mailed, is as follows: Contributor Client Services, Canada Pension Plan, Service Canada, PO Box 818, Station Main, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2N4.
  8. Upon receipt of the necessary information, the CPP office processes the applicant’s request and completes it as required.

  • Copy of T4 slip(s) (earnings and contributions information)

  • Check the accuracy of your statement, particularly your name, address, date of birth and pensionable earnings and contributions. You should compare these amounts to any previous T4 tax information slips.
  • If you disagree with any of the figures, contact Canada Pension Plan immediately link
  • A discrepancy could affect the amount of your future CPP benefits, including the post-retirement benefit.
