Procedure

Apply through the Canadian centre:

1. To Obtain a CANPASS (Air, Private Aircraft, Private Boats), the applicant has to approach the Canadian Government – CANPASS CORPORATE AIRCRAFT link
2. The applicant has to download the application form from the following link
3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
6. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned office mailing address.
7. The mailing address is mentioned in the “Office Locations & Contacts” section of this page.
8. The fee detail for this procedure is mentioned in the “Fees” section of this page.
9. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
10. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
11. The officer will contact the applicant to visit the office for further process.
12. The applicant is required to attend an interview with a CBSA officer.
13. Once all types of process get completed successfully, the applicant will get the license through the mail.
14. This entire process can be completed within 6 weeks or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Eligibility

• Any traveling person who intends to Obtain a CANPASS (Air, Private Aircraft, Private Boats) is eligible to make this application.

Fees

• In CONPASS private aircraft, the non-refundable processing fee is CAN$40 for each applicant 18 years old and above.
• In CONPASS air, the non-refundable processing fee is CAN$50 for each applicant 18 years old and above.
• The applicant who is under 18 years old, the fee is free of cost.

NOTE: The applicant can also send a certified cheque or money order in Canadian funds payable to the Receiver General for Canada. Do not send cash.

Validity

• The validity for this procedure is five years.

Penalities:

• The membership may be revoked or suspended if the applicant fails to comply with the requirements and procedures of the CANPASS – Private Aircraft Program. This includes non-compliance with customs and immigration legislation or any other related laws the CBSA administers and enforces.
• Depending on the severity of the violation, the CBSA can impose penalties, remove non-residents, and seize any goods and any aircraft used to carry the goods. As well, the applicant may be subject to criminal prosecution.
