Procedure

• The deserving couples are advised to open a joint bank account or convert the existing bank account in to a joint account. Make sure to connect the bank account with the Aadhaar card.

Apply In-Person:

1. The beneficiary shall approach their respective Department of The Welfare Of Sc/St/Obc office in their area Link
2. Contact Link AND the applicant shall also enquire at the local panchayat office to apply for the incentive Municipal corporation Delhi please select “CLICK HERE” under the respective municipality to reach the respective portal. In the given page scroll down to the bottom and select “Key Contacts” option to reach a new page. Here please select “Zonal offices” menu and select the sub option for the contact details AND Panchayat please use the excel sheet hyperlink against the respective state/UT for the contact details.
3. Go to the respective office and consult with the designated authority to know the applying procedure. Please collect the application form or write on a plain A4 sheet as advised.

5. Please complete the application form. Attach all the documents as per the “Required Documents” section of this page and submit it to the designated authority.
6. Authorities will check the submitted application and documents to make sure that the couple is eligible for the scheme and all the required documents are in place. If eligible and the documents are in place, the application will be accepted.
7. Authorities will make entries about this application in the manual record or electronically using computer. The applicant will be provided with a record number as acknowledgement for future reference.
8. The application will be processed further.
9. This incentive is sanctioned based on the details given in the application, local enquiry, facts and records produced.
10. ”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile.
11. The department authorities will do the ground level verification to clarify the application details and do the local enquiry to clarify the facts.
12. Based on the outcome of the verification, the department will forward the proposal with recommendation from the concerned district magistrate, district collector/ deputy commissioner / social welfare department of the concerned state/UT to the sanctioning body.
13. The sanctioning body will evaluate the case to sanction the incentive.
14. The status, viz. Approval or Rejection if any will be conveyed to the applicant through an “SMS” or as per the applicable norms.
15. If approved, the incentive will be credited in the joint account of the couple in instalments as per the government norms.
16. Usually there is no fee charged for this procedure.
17. The whole process can be completed as per the timeline with respect to the department’s work schedule and also based on the budget allotment.

Apply Online

1. To Apply incentives for Inter-Caste Marriage, the applicant has to make the application online via the following link link
2. If the applicant is a new user they can click “New User” menu and register their account. If the applicant is the existing user they can click “Registered Users Login” and login with user id and password.
3. Next the applicant has to select the service and enter all necessary details in the application form.
4. The applicant has to upload all the required documents that are mentioned in required documents section of this page.
5. Review the application and click “submit”. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement. The applicant will also get a transaction number as a text message on their registered mobile number.
6. Applicant has to make necessary payment and don’t forget to take the receipt.
7. This application will be forwarded to the respective department for further processing.
8. ”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile. Please keep track of the notification.
9. The submitted application will be processed by the department. A designated authority (supply officer) will verify the submitted documents and inspect the area of the applicant to clarify the applicant’s details.
10. Based on the outcome of the above-mentioned steps and other internal processing, the designated issuing authority will decide on the issuance of the Certificate.
11. The status, viz. Approval or Rejection will be conveyed to the applicant through an “SMS” or applicable norms.

Apply Through CSC

1. To Apply incentives for Inter-Caste Marriage, the applicant has to approach respective “CSC” centre link
   • NOTE: The applicant has to select state, district and block name from the drop-down menu, or the applicant has to click on their respective district to find nearby centres.
2. Please visit the centre and consult with the centre operator for your requirement.
3. If the operator issues an application form, then collect it and pay the requisite fee. Please complete the application form.
4. Now, submit the completed application along with the required documents as per the “Required Documents” section of this page. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
5. The operator will process the application online. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement. The applicant will also get a transaction number as a text message on their registered mobile number.
6. Applicant has to make necessary payment as centre operator quotes and don’t forget to take the receipt.
7. This application will be forwarded to the respective department for further processing.
8. ”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile. Please keep track of the notification.
9. The submitted application will be processed by the department. A designated authority (supply officer) will verify the submitted documents and inspect the area of the applicant to clarify the applicant’s details.

11. The status, viz. Approval or Rejection will be conveyed to the applicant through an “SMS” or applicable norms.

Eligibility

• The couple should be Indian citizens.
• Applicant should be the permanent resident of the respective state.
• A marriage will be considered Inter-caste marriage in which one of the spouses belongs to scheduled caste and the other belongs to a Non-scheduled caste.
• The marriage should be valid as per the law and duly registered under the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955.
• The couple with marriage registration certificate are eligible to apply.
• In order to apply for this scheme, the total income of the couple should be less than Rs. 5.0 lakhs or the amount fixed by the respective government.
• Incentive will be provided only those who have applied within a year (in few states it is 18 months) of marriage or as per the timeline fixed by the respective state.

Fees

• There is no fee required for this service. Please follow the authority’s guidelines for any charges (if required).
• Non-judicial stamp paper (for 10 rupees or as per the advised amount).

Validity

• The couple will get the incentive for the application that they submitted. There is no validity with respect to the period.

Instructions

• The incentive Rs.2.50 lakh (or the amount as per state norms) per marriage will be provided. From this R.2.50 lakh, an amount of Rs.1.50 lakh will be released through RTGS / NEFT to the joint account of the couple on receipt of a Pre-Stamped receipt on a ten-rupee Non-judicial stamp paper. The remaining amount will be kept in a fixed deposit in the foundation for a period of 3 years.
• This incentive is applicable for the first marriage only.
• Any wrongful identification and certification of beneficiaries shall attract severe disciplinary action against the concerned.
• Do not submit fake documents as a proof to get this incentive.
• Incomplete application will be rejected.
• Avoid spelling mistakes while filling the application form.
• Applicant will be penalized if any information provided by the applicant while applying for this incentive scheme is being found false or incorrect.

Need for the Document

• The incentive is to appreciate the Inter-caste marriage, taken by the newly married couple and to extend financial support to the couple to enable them to settle down in the initial phase of their married life.
• The government is providing the incentive for the eligible couples. This is a significant step to reduce the caste-prejudices, abolish ‘untouchability’ and spread the values of liberty, equality, fraternity etc in the society.
