Morocco - Obtain National Identity Card (CIN or CNIE)
ProcedureEdit
- Submit your application forms to any registration centre throughout Morocco which is often near local police offices or near the regional and provincial authorities office. For those living abroad, you may file your applications at the Moroccan diplomatic missions and embassies in the country you are currently staying.
- You must also submit a residence certificate and passport sized photos.
- For those who are unable to go to a registration centre due to a serious impediment, disability or being hospitalized, fill up the form. You must also present a document to prove your disability.
Required DocumentsEdit
- Residence certificate, this can be obtained from the following:
- Local Police
- Local Gendarmerie or administrative authority
- Moroccan consular offices
- Four recent passport size photographs of the applicant, colored, size 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm on plain background and a light color (light gray and light blue recommended)The applicant must not wear any dark glasses, or anything that will cover the face. Sample Photo
- A copy of the page of the booklet family concerned with the presentation of this booklet or a full copy of the register of civil status or an extract of the birth certificate . The last two documents should have a period of validity not exceeding three months (the name and surname of the applicant and his parents' names must be written in Arabic and Latin characters on the birth certificate)
- Stamp Duty 75 Dhs (established by the legislation)

All Moroccans aged 18 years old and above.
Individuals who haven't reached the age of 18 may still apply to obtain the National Identity Card, for academic reasons or needed the identification to apply for marriage.

InstructionsEdit
Once a citizen reach the age of 18, he/she must submit an application to secure a Moroccan identity card.
Those who will fail to file an application can be asked to pay a fine of 300DH.
