Morocco - Apply for a Refugee Visa
ProcedureEdit
Step 1 : Before you apply you must be outside Morocco when you apply for a Refugee visa or you can still apply while staying in Morocco. One option which may be available to Refugee seeker is to make an application for protection (refugee status), which can be made while she is in Morocco, but the outcome will depend on whether the applicant meets the definition of a refugee, as per the United Nations 1951 Convention that Australia has signed. The Convention defines refugees as people who:
- (a)are outside their country of nationality or their usual country of residence,
- (b) are unable or unwilling to return to their home country, or to seek the protection of that country, due to a well-founded fear of being persecuted for reasons of race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group, or political opinion, and
- (c) are not war criminals or people who have committed serious non-political crimes.
- Note
Moroccan law does not list specific examples of the kinds of persecution that would qualify someone for refugee status in Morocco. However, from the law that has been developed through court cases, It is clear that it can include such acts as threats, violence, torture, inappropriate imprisonment, or denial of basic human rights or freedoms.
Step 2 : Refugee Entry visas to Morocco:The Moroccan legislation relating to the refugee entry and stay of refugee in Morocco, states that any refuge wishing to seek asylum in Morocco must have been persecuted or suffered oppression based on race,religion,nationality,membership in a particular social group, or your political opinion. which are fairly self explanatory, government of Morocco won't grant refugee status to a person who has not suffered or does not fear persecution that's based on one of five grounds.
Therefore there must be proof on suffering if you are applying for a refugee visa.

These are some of documents include;

It is up to the competent Moroccan authority issuing the refuge visa to determine whether the applicant has provided the necessary document required for the Visa, in additional the length of stay and duration of validity of visa depending on the profile of the applicant, type and visa requested and the number of entries.After viewing documents are either approved or rejected;

Need for the DocumentEdit
Although Morocco remains primarily a country of emigration, it is also becoming a destination for migrants and refugees from sub-Saharan Africa and, to some extent, from crisis-hit European countries.
The instability still affecting some parts of the sub-region, in particular Libya, continues to generate irregular movements to Morocco. Since the start of Libyan crisis in 2011, the Ministry of Expatriates and immigration have witnessed an increase in the number of asylum-seekers in Morocco.
Asylum and refugee status are special legal protections available to people who have left their home country for their own safety and are afraid to return. One of the biggest issues that Moroccan immigration officials have been dealing with in the past few months is becoming a destination for migrants and refugees seekers.Morocco Being one of the get way country to Spain has suffered with the largest influx of refugee seekers,Morocco is hard pressed to provide for them. However, there are also clamors from within the country itself to tighten regulations with regards to refugee entry into Morocco.
But not everyone qualifies for refugee status. You must meet some strict requirements, as described in this procedure;
