EligibilityEdit
- Both applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
- For applicants under the of 18, custodial parental consent must be given.
- For applicants under the age of 15, an order of the circuit court must be obtained.
- Applicants must not be related to each other including cousins.

Fees for a marriage license and copies may vary by county.
ValidityEdit
The marriage license is valid for 30 days and can only be used in the state of Missouri.

- Both applicants must appear in the presence of the recorder of deeds or their deputy.
- The person solemnizing the marriage is required to have the marriage license prior to performing the ceremony.
- The person solemnizing the marriage shall return the license to the issuing recorder of deeds within 15 days.
