Procedure

• Obtain renewal application form from any Drivers License Officer or Driver and *Vehicle Services Exam Station.
• Complete an application at the renewal office
• Submit the required documents (Minnesota driver license, Social Security number (SSN), etc.)
• Pay the payment either by personal check or cash only.
• Screen the Vision for drivers licenses
• Take the Picture

Eligibility

Fees

• Class D, regular or under age 21: $23.25
• Class D Provisional License upgrade to under age 21 DL: $19.75 (no violations on record - $3.50 credit)
• Motorcycle Endorsement Renewal (2 wheel only): $13 (See Motorcycle Renew Endorsement Page for more information)
• Motorcycle Instruction Permit/Endorsement Fee: $21
• Expedited (Fast Track) Service: $20, optional fee

Instructions

• Drivers licenses expire on a persons birthday, unless you have a provisional license.
• If renewed on or before the expiration date, driving privileges will continue without interruption.
