Apply In Person

1. To Obtain the Extension of the Concession Title Outside the Concession Areas, the applicant has to approach the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation link
2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. The applicant has to attach photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting it.
6. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
7. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
8. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
9. Then the application will be processed further.
10. The regulatory authority or port administration will review the extension application, assess the feasibility and compliance with regulations, and evaluate the potential impact on existing operations and the environment.
11. They may conduct inspections, request additional information, or engage in negotiations if necessary. If the application meets all requirements, the regulatory authority will grant the extension of the concession title.
12. Once the extension is granted, adhere to the conditions, obligations, and regulations outlined in the extension agreement.
13. This includes maintaining compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, financial commitments, reporting obligations, and any other specific requirements related to the extended operations.
14. This entire process can be completed within 2 weeks or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Eligibility

To be eligible to obtain the Extension of the Concession Title Outside the Concession Areas in Mexico, the applicant must meet the following requirements:

• The permit or license will typically be for a period of 20 years.
