Step 1:

  1. To Obtain Authorization to Receive Medical Care at Another Clinic, the applicant has to approach the Institute of Security and Social Services for State Workers link
  2. The applicant has to contact the Public Healthcare Institutions (IMSS or ISSSTE).
  3. The applicant has to visit the primary healthcare clinic affiliated with IMSS, ISSSTE, or the relevant public institution. Explain the medical condition and why the applicant requires care at another clinic.
  4. The doctor at the primary clinic will evaluate their medical condition and determine whether specialized care at another clinic is necessary.
  5. If the doctor determines that they need care at another clinic, they will issue a referral or authorization document specifying the type of care required and the approved clinic.
  6. Take the referral or authorization document to the clinic where you're authorized to receive care. They will review the document, assess your situation, and provide the necessary treatment.



Step 2:

  1. After that Get in touch with the private health insurance company. They will provide you with specific instructions on how to request authorization for medical care at another clinic.
  2. Insurance providers may ask for details about the medical condition, treatment plan, and the clinic where they want to receive care.
