Apply In-Person:
- To Obtain Authorization to Practise as a Private Educational Institution, the applicant has to approach the Secretary of Public Education link
- An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
- The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
- Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant has to attach photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting it.
- Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
- The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
- After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
- Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number or through email.
- The education authority will evaluate the application, including the submitted documentation and an inspection of the applicant’s facilities. They will assess compliance with the educational regulations and standards, infrastructure requirements, curriculum quality, and other relevant factors.
- If the education authority identifies any deficiencies or additional requirements, address them promptly. This may involve making adjustments to the applicant’s curriculum, improving infrastructure, or providing additional documentation or information.
- If the application is approved, the applicant’s will receive an official authorization to operate as a private educational institution in Mexico. The authorization will specify the educational levels and programs the applicant’s approved to offer.
- This entire process can be completed within two weeks or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

- The applicant has a sound financial plan.
