  1. To apply for Meghalaya – Assam Tourist Maxi Cab Permit in Meghalaya the applicant has to approach the RTO office to which his area belongs to.
  2. Please follow our “Office Locations & Contacts” section of this page to get details of the RTO offices. Link for RTO contacts: Link for contact
  3. Application form can be downloaded using the following link: Application forms and Parivahan Forms Link
  4. Make sure you have completed respective application form obtained directly from respective RTO
  5. Application forms can be obtained from the appropriate RTO offices that can be completed and presented with appropriate fees.
  6. Please make sure you have all the documents that are listed down the “Required Document” section of this page.
  7. Please make sure that you are eligible for this procedure
  8. Present the completed application forms in one of the counter and pay the appropriate fee where the officials would start processing your application.
  9. Important verifications for the permit includes Vehicle condition, seating arrangements etc., will be carried by authorities.
  10. After checking the vehicle for its correctness and other appropriate requirements the application will be processed.

  1. Make sure you have completed respective application form obtained directly from respective RTO
  2. Registration Certificate of the vehicle.
  3. Fitness Certificate.
  4. Proof of payment of tax for the current Quarter.
  5. Insurance Certificate.
  6. No object certificate from the financier if the vehicle concerned is covered by HPA / Lease / Hypothecation.
  7. Pollution Under Control Certificate
  8. Payment of green tax wherever applicable.

  • Meghalaya – Assam tourist Maxi Cab Permit is needed for an tourist vehicle operator to carry passengers on a hire / rental basis from one place to another
  • Maxi cab means any motor vehicle constructed or adapted to carry more than six passengers, but not more than twelve passengers, excluding the driver for hire.
