Apply Online

  1. Applicants can apply Online Requests for Facilities on the City Council of Port Louis website link
  2. On the homepage, the applicant must click on the 'Facilities Requests link.
  3. A new page will open, Here the applicant must select the type of facility he/she is requesting.
  4. The applicant must fill in all the required information such as name, address, contact details, purpose for the request, etc.
  5. Also, the applicant should attach any relevant documents such as a plan or sketch of the facility and the documents can be found under the “Required Documents section of this page.
  6. Then the applicant must click on the “Submit” button at the bottom of the page to submit their complaint.
  7. Once the application is submitted, the authorities will review the applicant’s application and may contact the applicant if any additional information is needed.
  8. If the application is approved, the applicant will be notified of the decision by email or phone.
  9. The applicant must then proceed to pay any necessary fees that may be required.
  10. Once the payment is received, the applicant will receive a confirmation of their request.
  11. Generally, it takes between two to four weeks for a complaint to be processed, but more complex cases may take longer.

  • A copy of the signed agreement between the applicant and the local authority

  • A copy of any environmental impact assessment/s that were carried out for the proposed facility
  • Any other relevant documents required by the local authority
