Apply In Person
- To apply for a fish farming license in the sea, an applicant should make the application to the Ministry of Blue Economy, Marine Resources, Fisheries, and Shipping. Please view the Ministry’s contact information through this Contact Details.
- Visit the ministry,s office to obtain the application form or download the form directly through this Application form.
- Read and complete the application form as required, then gather and prepare all the required supporting documents and attach the documents to the application form in a single file.
- Visit the ministry's office and submit the application file to the official at the Chief Executive Officer of the Economic Development Board reception.
- The official will check if the application is completed as required and forward it to the Chief Executive Officer.
- The Chief Executive Officer will assess the application and make his/her recommendations on the application to the Permanent Secretary of the ministry.
- Upon receiving the recommendations of the Chief Executive Officer of the Economic Development Board, the Permanent Secretary may approve the application and issue the authorization, in principle, on such terms and conditions as he may determine, or the Permanent Secretary may reject the application and inform the applicant accordingly.
- Once approved the applicant will be required to visit the ministry’s office and collect the authorization for fish farming in the sea.
