Apply In-Person:

  2. In Mauritius, exemption from payment of land conversion tax is available for certain categories of land conversions.
  3. Applicants should obtain the application form from the authority.
  4. To apply for exemption, applicant will need to fill in Request for Exemption from Payment of Land Conversion Tax form, which the applicant can obtain from the Mauritius Agricultural Services.
  5. Applicants must submit a detailed justification for the proposed land conversion, which should include the proposed use of the land, the economic, social and environmental implications, and the plans for the rehabilitation of the land.
