- To Apply for Particulars of Work Agreement (Ministry of Labour), the applicant must visit the Ministry of Labour in Mauritius. Contact link
- Applicants can download the application in both Word and Doc formats from this link AND link (or)
- The applicant should obtain the application form from the authority.
- The applicant should fill all the required details in the application form.
- The applicant should the necessary documents such as proof of ownership, title deed and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
- A fee for this procedure is has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
- The application form and documents should be submitted to the Head of the Ministry of Labour.
- The Ministry of Labour will review the application and may ask for additional information if needed.
- The applicant must wait for the Ministry of Labour to process their application.
- Once the applicant's application has been accepted, they will receive a confirmation letter.
- The Applicant will follow any instructions given by the Ministry of Labour.
- Then, the applicant should visit the employer to discuss the details of the work agreement.
- Applicant need to negotiate and finalize the terms of the agreement in order to move forward.
- After the applicant must sign the agreement in front of a Ministry of Labour representative.
- The Ministry of Labour must send a copy of the signed agreement to the applicant.
- Then the applicant need to submit the signed agreement to the employer.
- The applicant should keep a copy of the signed agreement for their records.
- Generally, applications are typically processed within 4 to 6 weeks.

Statutory benefits to which the Employee is entitled for this work agreement:
- The parties to this Work Agreement shall be the Employer, who shall be the Ministry of Labour of Mauritius, and the Employee, who shall be the employee employed by the Employer, as stated in the Employment Contract.
- The employee shall be employed under the terms of the Employment Contract and in accordance with the laws of Mauritius.
- The Employee shall be paid a salary, as specified in the Employment Contract, in accordance with the salary scale established by the Employer.
- The Employee shall be entitled to all statutory benefits, including those specified in the Employment Contract, such as holiday pay, sick leave, and pension, as provided by the laws of Mauritius.
- The Employee shall be entitled to reasonable working hours, and shall not be required to work more than 48 hours per week, as provided by the laws of Mauritius.
- The Employee shall be entitled to all safety and health protection measures, as provided by the laws of Mauritius.
- The Employee shall be subject to the rules and regulations of the Employer, and shall comply with the laws of Mauritius.
- The Employee shall be subject to disciplinary measures, as specified in the Employment Contract, and in accordance with the laws of Mauritius.
- The Employee shall be provided with all necessary equipment and materials, as provided by the Employer, and in accordance with the laws of Mauritius.
- The Employer shall provide the Employee with a safe and healthy working environment, as provided by the laws of Mauritius.
- The Employee shall be entitled to terminate the Employment Contract in accordance with the laws of Mauritius.
- The Employer shall be liable for any damages caused to the Employee by the Employer’s acts or omissions, as provided by the laws of Mauritius.
- This Work Agreement shall be binding on the parties and shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of Mauritius.
