Apply through Maharashtra NATIONAL FOOD SECURITY PROGRAM

  1. To Apply for a Family Identity Card online, the applicant has to use the following link to reach the online portal. link
  2. The applicant shall mouse over on the “Sign In/ Register” tab on the top of the page and then click on the “Public Login” option.
  3. Click on the “New User! Sign Up Here” button in the given “SELF SERVICE FOR RATION CARD” page.
  4. In the given page, please select the “I want to apply for new Ration Card” option.
  5. Please complete the prompts as appropriate. Hit the “Get OTP” button.
  6. A confirmation pop-up will appear to inform an OTP will be sent to the Aadhar seeded mobile number. Please hit the “OK” button to get the OTP in the provided mobile number.
  7. A confirmation pop-up will appear to inform an OTP has been sent to the mobile number.ease hit the “OK” button.
  8. Users shall enter the “OTP” as appropriate and hit the “Verify OTP” button.
  9. A system generated login ID will be displayed. Please save the login ID for further use.
  10. Click on the “Click Here To Login” button.
  11. In the home page, the applicant shall mouse over on the “Sign In/ Register” tab on the top of the page and then click on the “Public Login” option.
  12. Click on the “Registered User” button in the given “SELF SERVICE FOR RATION CARD” page.
  13. The page will show a set of methods to login.
  14. Please use Option 1 to complete the prompts as appropriate and enter the appropriate button to reach the “Ration Card Management System (RCMS)” page.
  15. Select the “Apply/Edit Ration Card Application” option provided on the left part of the screen.
  16. Please select the appropriate options and click on the “Add Member” button.
  17. The applicant shall follow the page prompts as applicable.
  18. The head of the family passport size photo needs to be uploaded at the appropriate place.
  19. Please follow and complete the rest of the options as applicable and finally save the application form by clicking the “Save as Draft” button.
  20. Once again check the entered details before submission as the application cant be modified after submission.
  21. Once all are fine, hit the “Submit Ration Card for verification and approval” to submit the application form online.
  22. A pop-up will be provided with the application number. Please save it for future reference.
  23. A copy of the submitted application form will be also sent to the email ID of the applicant.
  24. Click on the “OK” button.
  25. Applicants will get a “Payment window”.
  26. Hit the “Proceed For Payment” button to get the “Payment Details” prompts.
  27. Complete the payment prompts as applicable and hit the “Pay Now” button.
  28. A confirmation pop-up reassures the user to proceed for payment. Please hit the “OK” button.
  29. Please recheck the information provided on screen and click the “Pay Now” button to get the acknowledgement. Please keep it safe for further reference.
  30. This submitted application will be processed by the respective department, A ground level verification and physical inspection by the Supply Officer will be carried out.
  31. The applicant will get notification. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
  32. The applicant shall follow the notification instructions as appropriate to get the ration card.
  33. This entire process can be completed within 15- 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
  34. If all the process are successful, applicant will get the ration card as per delivery mode (delivered through postal or on hand)

  1. Once the application is approved and its ready for printing, the online ration card can be downloaded from the “Maharashtra NATIONAL FOOD SECURITY PROGRAM” portal link
  2. Once login as a registered user, the applicants shall click on the ”Download Your Ration Card” option provided on the left part of the screen.
  3. Please follow and complete the prompts as applicable to get the online ration card downloaded.



Apply through Aplesarkar

  1. The applicants shall use the following Link
  2. The applicant has to click on “New user? register here..” button to reach a new page.
  3. Please select any of the two options.
  4. Please fill in the information to create Username and Password through a detailed profile using OTP verification on your mobile number.
  5. Please complete filling the necessary details as per prompt. Once the page requisite inputs and authentication process is complete, please hit the “Register” button to complete the registration process.
  6. Once registered, please go to the home page. Enter username and password at the respective prompts as appropriate under “Already Registered/? Login Here” session and follow the other instructions and hit the “LOGIN” button to reach a new page.
  7. On the left part of the screen, check and scroll down to click on the “Food & Public Distribution System (PDS)” option.
  8. In the given screen, click on the “Demand for new ration card” option and hit on the “Proceed” button.
  9. In the resulting page, please click the “Demand for new ration card” option.
  10. Another page with details about the service will be provided.
  11. Please go through the details and make sure to have them all as per applicable format.
  12. Click on the “Continue” button at the bottom.
  13. The applicant shall fill all the fields prompted for adding head of the family, District, Bank details, Present residential address details, Permanent address details, Professional details, Gas connection details, Members details and professional details.
  14. Once completed with all the details click the green (“Submit Details”) button on the bottom.
  15. The user will get an acknowledgment. Keep it safe for future reference.
  16. This submitted application will be processed by the respective department, A ground level verification and physical inspection by the Supply Officer will be carried out.
  17. The applicant will get notification. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.

  1. This app is not updated to get installed with the latest mobiles.
  2. This mobile app application process will lead to Aaple Sarkar process once the required service is selected.
  3. To apply via app, the applicant shall install the app from the given Link
  4. In the given page, Please hit the “Install” button.
  5. Once installation is completed, click on the “Open” button.
  6. In the Login page, please click on the “Register Now” button and complete the registration process.
  7. Once registered, please go to the Login page.
  8. Complete the login prompts as appropriate and Click on the “Login Now” button.
  9. In the new page, please check and scroll down to find the Food & Public Distribution department.

Apply Through SEWA KENDRA

  1. To apply for a Family Identity Card through Seva Kendra, the applicant has to visit the respective sewa kendra.
  2. Please tap on the following link to locate the centre according to the respective district: link.
  3. In the home page, please click on the “SEWA KENDRA” menu option to get a new page.
  4. Here select the appropriate district and taluka. Hit the “Proceed” button.
  5. A list of centres with phone number and address will be provided.
  6. Identify the nearest centre. Go there personally with all the required documents on hand listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  7. An application form can be obtained from the operator..
  8. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary information in the application form.
  9. Submit the application form with “Required Documents” to the operator.
  10. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
  11. The operator will process the application online.
  12. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement. The applicant will also get a transaction number as a text message on their registered mobile number.
  13. Pay the fee as given in the “Fees” section of this page and collect the receipt.
  14. An ”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile. Please keep track of the notification.

  1. The Applicant shall apply at their respective Rationing Officer/Circle Officer of their area.
  2. The information about the corresponding rationing office and other updated relevant details for applying can be obtained from the respective District Supply Officer office link
  3. The applicant shall visit the respective office and obtain the application form.
  4. The applicant has to fill all the necessary information in the application as required and sign at appropriate places.
  5. Do not fill in any wrong information, otherwise the officer of the department will reject your application form.
  6. The applicant has to attach all required documents, and submit the application along with the document to the authority.
  7. On accepting your application, the authority or clerk will check the details.
  8. Please follow the authorities guidelines to get a receipt as acknowledgement for the submission of the application form.
  9. The applicant has to keep it safe for future reference. The authorities will also explain the next set of activities from the department side.

  • Tenancy agreement if the applicant is a tenant.

  • Copies of birth certificates of minor members(Below 10 years in age)
  • Surrender certificate of Ration Card/Family Identity holding or non-availability certificate from the FCS&CA authority where the applicant was previously resided (applying in new place)
  • Aadhaar Card

EligibilityEdit

  • The applicant and his/her family must be Indian citizens and should be resident of the state.
  • The applicant or his family members must not possess any family card in any State in India (If they had one, it has to be withdrawn).
  • The applicant and members of the family must be close relatives.
  • If you are newly married and have your name in your family ration card, you and your spouse should get name deletion certificates (Removing names from your respective family cards).
