How to Apply
- Applicants should visit the One-Stop Business Facility Centre (OBFC), Department of Import and Export office and submit his/her passport or national ID card to the attending officer.
- The OBFC official will then capture relevant information to the computer system and provide you with a username and a password to be able to access the import and export online portal.
- Login to your account from any OBFC computer, where the IT system is locally installed to access the portal.
- Search for the Exchange Control Declaration form and fill it online then prints it out (pre-filled) to sign it.
- You should then visit the C.T. POOPA CONSULTING ATTORNEY & NOTARY PUBLIC office with your passport/ID card, manufacturing license (original and copy) and have them certified at a cost of 5 LSL per copy.
- Re-visit the Department of Import and Export office at OBFC and submit the printed copy of the declaration request form along with the supporting documents (listed below) to be verified by the authorized official.
- You will then be issued with a blank export certificate, fill it accurately with all the details of goods to be exported and stamp it (with the stamp of the business/company).
- Submit the completed, stamped export certificate along with the supporting documents (listed below) to the senior import and export officer at OBFC to be verified.
- The import and export officer will then signs, stamps and return the certificate back to you.
Please Note
- The only export certificate stamped at OBFC are that of export goods to Canada and China. For other countries, the applicant only obtain the blank export certificate at OBFC and are submitted to LRA (customs) for endorsement and processing.
