Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. To Apply for Orphan Daughter of Ex-Servicemen (Military) Marriage Grant, the applicant shall visit the Office of the Department of Ex- Servicemen welfare, Sainik Board of their respective area. The address and contact details of the head office can be found in the following Link.
2. Visit the Office and get the application form to apply for Ex- Servicemen (Military) Daughter Marriage Grant from the relevant department. The applicant can also download the application form from the following Link.
3. Please fill the application form with the essential information and details and should be attested with the applicant’s signature and the identity certificate should be attested by an MP/MLA/Municipal Councillor/Retired or Serving Defence Officer.
4. Please attach all the documents that are listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Then, it should be submitted to the relevant authority. Also, pay the required fees for the application process at the office as directed by the officials. Please collect the acknowledgement slip for the paid fee. Keep it safe for future reference.
6. The application and attached documents will be sent for verification to check, if there is any discrepancy. The applicant will be called in person to verify all the documents.
7. After all the processes are completed, the Zilla Sainik Board will approve the application and forward it to the Regional Sainik Board.
8. The Regional Sainik Board recommends the application to the Kendriya Sainik Board.
9. This Welfare scheme grant application may take a minimum of 45 days to process.
10. Once all the requirements and verifications are done, the amount will be transferred to the applicant’s bank account or the applicant will be informed to collect the amount in person.

Eligibility

• Applicant must be an Orphan of Ex-Servicemen.
• The orphan should be above 18 years of age.
• The application should be recommended by the respective ZSB.
• The applicant should not have obtained any financial grant for this purpose from State/Service.

Need for the Document

• For marriage of an orphan daughter of an eligible ESM, certain amount of money is paid out for whose marriage is solemnized after 01 Apr 2016.
