ProcedureEdit

  1. Gather all documents you will need to present or submit to obtain a Food Ration Card (see list below).
  2. You will need to apply for the procedure in person.
  3. Visit the Supply Department of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and submit the required documents
  4. Complete an application an application form.
  5. Depending on your eligibility you may be asked to pay to receive the card.

Required DocumentsEdit

Kuwaiti Citizens:

  • Original civil IDs of all the family members (males and females), for residence and identity proofing
  • Original passport with a valid residence for servants
  • Servant's passport, in case of adding a new servant to the food ration card


Kuwaiti women married to non-Kuwaiti persons (foreigners):

  • Original civil ID of the wife; the food ration card shall be issued in the name of the wife.
  • Original civil ID of the husband or birth certificates of children
  • Original civil IDs of other family members with valid residence
  • Original passport of servants with a residence visa valid for a month at least


Kuwaiti women married to persons of undefined nationality:

  • Original civil ID of the wife; the food ration card shall be issued in the name of the wife.
  • Official identification of the husband
  • Original marriage contract or original birth certificates of children
  • Original passport of servants with a residence visa valid for a month at least


Diplomats of GCC countries:

  • Original civil IDs of all family members and civil IDs of house servants, as per Article (17, 20)
  • Original passport of servants with a residence visa valid for a month at least

Food Rations Cards are issued to the following individuals:

  • Kuwaiti Citizen
  • Kuwaiti women married to non-Kuwaiti persons (foreigners)
  • Kuwaiti women married to persons of undefined nationality
  • Diplomats of GCC countries

  • Kuwaiti women married to non-Kuwaiti persons (foreigners): (5) KD
  • Kuwaiti women married to persons of undefined nationality: (5) KD
  • Diplomats of GCC countries: (5) KD
