Anyone who has been (Fully or partially) vaccinated in Kenya can get their Covid-19 vaccination certificate issued by the Ministry of Health. MoH Contact Details

Apply Online

  1. Visit the MoH portal on the address bar of any of the following recommended browsers; (Internet Explorer or Mozilla or Chrome) then click on the “Get-Service” tab under The Chanjo Portal (MOH NVIP) section.
  2. Already vaccinate person with an already account existing account with the MoH should click on the “Sign In” tab, Enter Username (National ID / Passport No/ Alien ID / Birth Cert...) and Password then click on the “Login” tab.
  3. Person without an account should click on the “Create Account” tab and provide the following details on the next window: All inputs with an asterisk (*) are required
    • Have you been vaccinated? Select (Yes)
    • Select identification type (National ID, Passport, Birth Certificate, Alien ID, Military ID)
    • Identification number
    • Provide your email
    • Insert your phone number and country code
    • Enter Password, Confirm then Sign Up.
  4. Once login to the portal read through the pop-up instruction then click on the “I have read the Instruction” tab.
  5. The MoH system will automatically conduct a search, after a successful search click on the “View Your Info” tab
  6. On the next window click on the “View Certificate Chanjo” tab, this will cause the system to display the COVID-19 Certificate, mentioning the following details ( Full name of the holder, date of birth, nationality, ID card number, vaccine type and the dates for vaccination). Please confirm that all the information is accurate before clicking on the “Download Certificate” tab on the up-left side of the screen.
  7. The certificate will be downloaded on the device for printing instantly. No fees are associated with this service.
  8. Users should ensure they log out of the system when they are done with the application process. This is to avoid unauthorized access to a third party(s) who may manipulate the information.
