To Renew Fitness Certificate, the applicant has to make the application online via link – link
If the applicant is a new user click the “Register HERE” button.
The applicant has to enter the Aadhar number in the newly opened page.
The applicant will get the OTP from the registered mobile number.
The applicant has to enter the OTP number and click the “Allow” button.
The applicant has to enter all the Email ID, Password, Phone number and click the “Submit” button.
Now, the applicant has to login and click the “LOGIN IN”.
The applicant has to select the respective department and the applying certificate.
Enter all the details in the application form.
Make sure that the applicant has to upload all the necessary documents which is mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested (If Applicable).
After completion, the applicant has to click the “Submit” button.
The applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement. The applicant will also get a transaction number as a text message on their registered mobile number.
Once the verification process gets completed by the respective officer.
”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile. Please keep track of the notification.
The submitted application will be processed by the department. A designated authority (supply officer) will verify the submitted documents and inspect the area of the applicant to clarify the applicant’s details.
Based on the outcome of the above-mentioned steps and other internal processing, the designated issuing authority will decide on the issuance of the Certificate.
The status, viz. Approval or Rejection will be conveyed to the applicant through an “SMS” or applicable norms.

Enter the registration Number as prompted and hit “PROCEED”
New screen will open to give options to choose. Choose “Apply for Fitness Renewal/Re-Apply after Fitness being failed” to get new screen.
Enter your Chassis(Last 5 digits) number and click the button next to chassis number box
In the next screen, Fill in required details and upload documents to process the online procedure
Take printout of acknowledgement and application form.
Go to RTO on the scheduled date to submit and process the request process further

Apply In-Person

To renew Vehicle Fitness certificate (FC) in Karnataka the applicant has to approach the RTO office to which his area belongs to.

The applicant should make sure they are eligible for applying for this procedure.
Make sure you have completed respective application (can be obtained from respective RTO)
Application forms can be obtained from the appropriate RTO offices
The applicant should bring in their vehicle for inspection.
Present the completed application forms in the counter and pay the appropriate fee where the officials would start processing your application.
Inspection of vehicle for correctness as per norms will be carried out to renew FC

Enter the Application Number in the prompted box and hit “get user details” to process the request for getting the slot

ValidityEdit

In case of Private vehicles the fitness certificates is valid for 15 years and there after renewed at every 5 years
In case of Transport Vehicles the fitness certificate is issued for a new vehicle for 2 years and subsequently renewed every year

Need for the DocumentEdit

Fitness Certificate is an official document certifying that the holder’s vehicle is fit to drive at public places. As this certificate is a very important document in renewal of permits. The renewal of fitness certificate is highly regarded.
The registration of vehicle is treated as valid only if the vehicle has valid certificate of fitness. Fitness certificate for a vehicle in Arunachal Pradesh is required to renew the current status of the vehicle
The fitness is checked and certified by the Registering Authority
Fitness certificate is issued to check the pollution caused by the emission of smoke from the vehicles, to maintain the vehicle in proper condition and to avoid accidents

It is advisable to go to the Regional Transport Officer / State Transport Authority between 9:00am to 5:00pm
