Karnataka - Obtain a Character Certificate

Note : There is "Police Clearance Certificate" and "Character Certificate" from other organisation. We will try to explain both the procedure you can choose to apply.

Apply Online through SevaSindhu Portal

Please use the following link to access SevaSindhu Portal : SevaSindhu Portal
In the page look for "Search Service" box on the rightside of page.
Enter "Police" or "Character" as you need and click on the search icon on the right.
Search will display all the results related to the search that you have made. Please make the selections appropriately and apply for the process by following the prompts.

Now click on the option to apply for this process.

Apply through CSC:

To Download or View Birth Certificate for the existing birth certificate registration, the applicant has to approach the nearest CSC : Link
NOTE:To check the contact details of the CSC centre, please select the District and Block.
The applicant has to visit the nearest centre.
The applicant has to inform all the details to the respective operator.
The operator will enter the details in the portal with the given details.
The applicant will get help to apply for this certificate from the operator.
Please pay as per applicable service charges if any.
The processing time for this procedure is immediate.

If the above documents are to be supported by report of applicable authorities, please provide as required.
All original and copy of original with self attestation as advised by respective authorities to be submitted as per requirement.

A Character certificate states out your moral conduct or behaviour.
In India Candidates applying for govt/private jobs need to show Character Certificate.
This certificate is a proof that the candidate is not involved in any criminal case ever.
