Procedure

Temporary residency for the first period

1. Obtain all required documents.
2. Visit any police station near your place of residence.
3. Submit your application.

Temporary residency for the second period

1. Obtain all required documents.
2. Go to the Residency and Borders Department.
3. Fill in the application form.
4. Pay the application fee and penalties if there is any.

Temporary residency for more than 6 months

1. Go to the Ministry of Interior to obtain extension approval.
2. Visit the Residency and Borders Department.
3. Fill in the application form.
4. Pay the application fee and penalties if there is any.

• Certificate stating that the applicant is free of any disease
• Residence rental contract

Fees

Temporary residency for the first period

• You don't have to pay anything in applying for this procedure except for any penalties you have incurred.

Temporary residency for the second period and for more than 6 months

• Application fee: 1 JOD (plus penalties if there is any)

Validity

• Temporary residency for the first period: One month
• Temporary residency for the second period: More than three months
• Temporary residency for more than 6 months.

Temporary residency for the second period and for more than 6 months

• Applications are submitted to Residency and Borders Department.
