Apply Online - Obtain Pesticide Import Permit from the Pest Control Authority Online with Images
- To apply for the Pesticide Import Permit from the Pesticide Control Authority (PCA), you should apply to the PCA online using the Trade Registration System (TRS)
- Visit the TRS website: Link
- Select “Pesticides Control Authority Jamaica” to be directed to the PCA trade system
- If you already have a registered account, enter your user ID and password to log in to your account and if you are not a registered user of the system, choose the not yet registered option go to the TRS central registration point
- Provide the User information, Personal Information, Contact Information, account details, and select “Pesticides Control Authority Jamaica” under “Agency Selection” Then click on “Continue” to go to the next page
- Choose the permit type i.e., for Pesticide imports, and submit your application for processing
- Upon submission of the application, you will receive a notification informing you that your registration and your application has been successfully submitted
- Your registration request will be assessed by the systems administrator at the ministry and an email will be sent informing you of your registration approval within the next 24 hours of submitting your application
- Once the registration is approved you will be required to enter into your account and complete applying for the pesticide import permit and pay the application fee online using a debit or credit card or at the Cashier located at the PCA’s office and obtain the payment receipt
- Then the VSD will complete processing your import permit and issue it to you however if your documentation is incomplete, the VSD will hold your application until you provide all the required documents or they may opt to reject your application
