Apply In-Person

  1. To obtain permission to put up Billboards and Signs in Jamaica Kingston and St. Andrew for advertising purposes, you should submit your application to the Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSAMC). Please view the KSAMC contact information through this link: Link
  2. Obtain the application form in person from the KSAMC office or you can download it directly via this link: Link
  3. Read the application form correctly and complete it in four copies and if the proposed billboard or Sign will extend to government property, you will have to also obtain and Complete the encroachment application form
  4. Prepare the rest of the supporting documents and attach them to the application form. The drawing should be as instructed in the application form under “NOTES”
  5. Go to the KSAMC office and pay the necessary fee for your application and obtain the payment receipt
  6. Submit the complete application to the Local Planning Authority of the KSAMC including the payment receipt
  7. Once the Authority receives your application, it will be assigned a reference number and you will be issued with an acknowledgment receipt containing the details of your application
  8. Then the authority will conduct due diligence on the proposed site to confirm if it meets the required standard of the planning authority
  9. At the end of the inspection, your application along with the inspection report will be forwarded to the Building and Town Planning Committee for approval or refusal.
  10. You will then be informed of the committee’s decision by way of a letter outlining conditions of approval or reasons for refusal.

  • Companies or Businesses and Individuals who wish to put up a Billboard or Sign are eligible.


FeesEdit

  • LED Board: $4,055 plus building and inspection fee
  • Billboard: $364.50 per display side plus Building and Inspection Fee or $364.50 per display side plus Inspection Fee
  • Wall Mural or Painting: 364.50 per display side plus Inspection Fee
  • Scrolling Signs:$364.50 per display side plus Building and Inspection Fee
  • Bus Shelter:$1,014.00 Per display side plus Inspection
  • Banners - String Type:$3,750.00 Per display side plus Inspection Fee
  • Single Side(1 day-5 weeks): $3,750.00 Per display side plus Inspection Fee
  • Banners - Pennant Type Single Side(1 day-5 weeks): $3,750.00 Per display side plus Inspection Fee
  • Banners -Pennant on JPS Poles Single face(1 day-5 week):$2,604.00 per display side plus Inspection Fee
  • Small Signs and Party Signs Single Side (4x4) and less$7,500.00 for 50 flyers (to be displayed only on Community Notice Boards)
