Apply In-Person

  1. To obtain a Certificate of Jamaican Origin (JN2) or Certificate of Exemption (JN3), you should make your application to the Trade Board Limited (TBL). Please view the TBL Contact details through this TBL Contacts link .
  2. Visit the TBL office in your location to obtain the Certificate of Jamaican Origin (JN2) or Certificate of Exemption (JN3) application form or download the form directly through this Application form link .
  3. Read and complete the form accordingly.
  4. Go to the TBL office and pay the fee for the Certificate of Jamaican Origin (JN2) or Certificate of Exemption (JN3) at the TBL cashier and obtain the payment receipt.
  5. Go to the TBL service desk and submit the complete application form along with the payment receipt to the serving officer.
  6. The TBL officer will assess the application form and confirm that is completed as required.
  7. After the assessment, the officer will stamp the form to validate its authenticity.
  8. Upon validation, the TBL will issue you the Certificate of Jamaican Origin (JN2) or Certificate of Exemption (JN3).
Note:if you intend to export Textiles and Apparel Products to the United States (US), purchase and complete form JN3, and if you intend to export to other markets other than the US purchase and complete form JN2.
