- To apply for conducting research at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Information (MOEY), you should submit your application to the Planning and Development Division of MOEY. Please view MOEY’s contact details via this link:Link
- Write a formal request letter addressed to the ministry indicating the background of the research and the reasons for undertaking the particular research.
- Then prepare all the necessary documentation supporting your request application and attach them to the letter in a single file or envelop
- Go to the Ministry’s office and submit your complete request application to the Planning and Development Divisionthrough the Permanent Secretary or chief executive officer (CEO)
- The Division will verify the request along with the documentation and consult with the relevant senior authority together with the Executive Management Group to grant approval of the research request or reject it
- If the research request is approved, it will be forwarded to the specific Division or Unit, or Department in which you wish to conduct your research
- If schools will be required to take part in the research, an introductory letter is prepared under the signatory of the Chief Education Officer or Deputy Chief Education Officer, or the Regional Director for the respective School Administrator.
- The specific Division or Unit or Department will inform you of the approval through your contact details either by Mail or Email and also provide you with guidance on protocol and availability of data or information you wish to collect
- In case you want to obtain information of a personal student in your research, you must obtain written approval from the student’s school and Parent or Guardian of the student
- Proceed with the research according to the protocol provided by the Division or Unit or Department
