Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply to Mail at Non-profit USPS Marketing Mail Prices, the applicant has to approach the USPS – United States of Postal Service link

11. Once all the verification process is done by the authority, the applicant receives a notification through a mail.

• IRS letter of exemption from payment of federal income tax.
• Other evidence of non-profit status—e.g., a financial statement prepared by a responsible party such as a certified public accountant substantiating organization's non-profit status (statement must include balance sheets, income statement, notes, etc.)

• List of the organization's activities during the past 12 months.
• Financial statement showing receipts and expenditures for the past fiscal year, plus the budget for the current year.

Eligibility

Only organizations may apply. Individuals may not apply (except voting registration officials).
The Non-profit USPS Marketing Mail prices may be granted only to:

• The eight categories of non-profit organizations.
• Qualified political committees, including the national and state committees of political parties as well as certain named congressional committees.
• Voting registration officials, including local, state, and District of Columbia voting registration
• officials.

Fees

• Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request.

Validity

• The validity for this procedure is for two years.

• Non-profit USPS Marketing Mail must be presented for mailing (deposited) at a Post Office facility where the organization producing the mailing has an approved non-profit authorization.
