Apply In Person

  1. To Apply to Act as a Commercial Mail Receiving Agency, the applicant has to approach the USPS – United States of Postal Service link
    NOTE: Enter the zip code, select the postal office and click the “Search” button.
  2. The applicant has to download the form from the following link
  3. The applicant has to enter all the necessary details in the application form.
  4. Make sure that the applicant has to attach all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
  6. Submit the completed form and the necessary documents to the local office.

  8. The fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
  9. Once all the verification process is done by the authority, the applicant receives a notification through a mail.

  • A Commercial Mail Receiving Agency (CMRA) is a private business that accepts mail from the Postal Service for recipients, keeps it for collection usually a private mailbox, "PMB", or re-mails it to another location with newly paid postage.
