Procedure

Based on the impacts and spread of covid – 19, government might restrict the issuance of such passes. There may be change in the authority to issue such certificate from time to time. Please look for the updates.

Apply In-Person

1. Applicant may approach the “Local police station/District Police headquarters” office as applicable to apply.

3. Applicants with valid need and having any documents or proof for the need shall seek for this pass.
4. Please call up the office as per the contact detail provided above to get any updated requirements as amended.
5. Applicant shall go to the office. Apply with the designated authorities as per their guidelines.
6. This request will be processed by the concerned superintendents of police (SPs) and deputy commissioners of police (DCPs) to issue travel passes after verifying reasons cited in application.
7. If your application is accepted, department will issue you the pass for inter-district travel.

• If required, police verification and inquiries would be conducted.
• Grant or rejection of permit depends on the department decision.

Apply Online

1. The applicant willing to apply for travel pass for inter- district need to visit the official website of Gujarat using the link below. link
2. The applicant needs to register themselves in the website by clicking the button “click for new registration (citizen)” in the homepage.
3. The applicant needs to provide their personal details including name, mobile number, DOB, and create a password.
4. After registering in the portal, the applicant needs to login using their username and password.
5. In the newly opened page, the applicant needs to click the button “request new service” at the top of the homepage. In the list of services, the applicant needs to click on “COVID -19 lockdown exemption pass for movement out of Gujarat”.
6. A new page opens. The applicant needs to fill the pass which includes details of the applicant including destination state, vehicle details, route details, destination district, vehicle capacity, address, email id, mobile number, passenger details.
7. After providing all the details, the applicant needs to click “submit” at the bottom of the registration form.
8. After clicking submit, a message will be received through the registered mobile number.
9. The submitted application will be scrutinised and approved by mamlatdar. The applicant can take printout of the application.

Eligibility

• Applicants who have necessity to travel from one district to another (Pregnancy, Childbirth, Accident or demise of family members)
• There shouldn’t be any total sealing or restrictions for people to travel in and out of the any one of the district.

• The given pass will hold the validity.

Note: In such crisis times, passes will be issued for the said date one way or two ways as per norms.
