Grenada - Obtain a Special Marriage License (For Nonnationals)
ProcedureEdit
- Applicants must complete an application form.
- At the upper back part of the form the gentleman will perform an oath in the presence of the Registrar General at the Registrar Generals Department, Ministry of Health.
- The lower back part of the form must be certified by either a Minister of Religion, Lawyer or Justice of the Peace.
- Submit the completed form along with the passports and birth certificates of both parties.
- Non-nationals must submit a notarized certificate attesting that the parties involved have never been married before. In cases where the parties involved are divorced, the final divorce document with seal or a notarized copy must also be presented during the procedure.
- For those who are under the age of 18 (minor), A Minors Consent form is to be completed by the minors Father/Mother or lawful guardian and certified by a Notary Public, Minister of Religion or Lawyer (CAP 184 Sec. 20).
- Pay the Marriage License fee ($100.00) at the Treasury, Ministry of Finance.
- The receipt along with stamps amounting to $15.00 are to be submitted together with the completed application form to the Cabinet Secretariat, Prime Ministers Ministry, for processing.
- It will take about 2 days to process your application to obtain a Special Marriage License.
