Eligibility

An International Driving Permit can only be issued to applicants who:

• Hold a Gibraltar driving licence covering the type of vehicle for which the IDP is required

• Permanently resident in Gibraltar

Fees

Explain the fees structure which is required for obtaining the certificate/document.

Validity

An International Driving Permit is valid for 12 months from the date of issue and can be renewed at any time within five years of first being issued.

An International Driving Permit allows an individual to drive vehicles in another country, outside the European Union, when accompanied by a valid driving licence.
