Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Submit Non-Governmental Organization Annual Returns in Ghana, the applicant must go to the non-Profit Organization secretariat or non-governmental organization secretariat.
2. Information related to the MOGCSP and the License authority can be obtained from the “Office locations and contacts” section of this page. Contact link
3. This should be done at least three months after the end of the financial year.
4. The letter should be specific in nature and should also be submitted with all the required documents.
5. This form can be obtained from the Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Board offices.
6. The applicant has to make sure that he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
7. Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
8. Submit the completed forms along with the supporting documents at the respective office for processing.
9. It takes 15 minutes to submit the application and two day for processing and acknowledgment to be given by the NGO Board.

• Certified copy of the applicant’s National card/Passport
• Duly filled Annual Returns
• Audited Accounts for organizations with a budget of over GHS. 1 Million
• Payment receipt.

Eligibility

• Each registered NGO is encouraged to submit annual returns 3 months after the end of their financial.
• However, NGOs with receipts of over Ghana shillings One Million (1, 000,000) per annum MUST submit audited accounts. Audits should be conducted by registered accounting firms’.

Fees

• A fee of GHS. 2000/= annual returns submission fee is charged.

Validity

Explain the time until which the certificate/document is valid.

Instructions

• Write letter of request to the executive director of the board.
• Submit returns to the NGO Board on the prescribed Form.
• Pay applicable fees and send a proof of payment together with the application.
• Wait for approval after two day.
