Ghana - Obtain Coffee Quality Assurance Certificate

Apply In-Person:

  1. Application for a Coffee Quality Assurance Certificate is done in person by visiting the Agriculture and Food Authority Board Head Offices in Ghana. contact link
  2. Application form should obtain the respective office.
  3. Also, make sure that the applicant has all the documents listed in the “Required documents” section of this page.
  4. Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
  5. Submit the completed application form and pay the required application fee and submit the receipt as the proof of payment.
  6. This is followed by an inspection of applicants by the Board field Officers.
  7. Recommendations based in findings of the investigation will be made to the Agriculture directorate’s Board Headquarters for final approval by the Board approval.
  8. At this point the applicant is notified if he/she has been successfully registered or which rectifications have to be made for them to be registered.
  9. Once the certification process is done the Coffee Quality Assurance Certificate is issued to the applicant.
  10. This process takes a maximum of 30 days.

  • A Business Proposal Document/ Feasibility Study Report for the Project.
  • Copy of Land Registration Document.
  • Copy of Certificates of Incorporation.
  • Copy of GRA VAT Registration Certificate.
  • Copy of GRA PIN Certificate.
  • Memorandum and Articles of Association of the corporate entity.
  • Environmental Impact Assessment Report.
  • Chemical being imported.
  • Additional registration requirements shall be as communicated from time to time by the Authority.
