Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Obtain Cabin Crew Member Certificate in Ghana, the applicant has to contact the nearest Civil Aviation Authority Office in Ghana.

3. This form can be obtained by visiting the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority office.
4. The   applicant   shall   submit an application together with one passport size photograph and pay the prescribed fee and shall complete an application form.
5. The applicant has to make sure he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section or this page.
6. When all the conditions have been met, and have been satisfactorily certified by the Authority’s Licensing Office, the applicant will be advised to pay the prescribed fees found under the "Fees" section of this page.
7. A processing time of 7 days is needed to complete the processing of the Cabin Member Crew Certificate, after which his/her will be contacted through a phone call to collect his/her new certificate at the GCAA offices.
8. Applicant will be required to carry your identification documents when collecting his/her certificate.

Required Documents

• Application form
• The current Medical Certificate Class 2.
• Knowledge and practical tests results’ slip. The knowledge test results for a cabin crew member certificate shall be valid for twelve months after passing the examination.
• 2 Passport size photos whose size should be 2cm b 2.5cm.
• A copy of a photo ID or Passport.
• A certificate issued by an Authorized Training Organization indicating satisfactory completion of the training.
• Copies of their company’s competency booklet showing the ratings they hold, Safety and Emergency Procedures Training dates, First Aid renewal dates, drills dates.
• First Aid Certificate
• Payment receipt of the prescribed fees.

Eligibility

An applicant for cabin crew member certificate shall:-

• Be at least eighteen years of age.
• Have a minimum demonstrated language proficiency in English; and
• Have a valid Class 2 medical certificate.

Validity

• This certificate is valid for a period of twenty four months from the date of issue or renewal.

Need for the Document

• A person shall not act as a cabin crew member unless that person holds a valid cabin crew member certificate.

The applicant for a Cabin Crew Member Instructor’s Authorization shall satisfy the following requirements:

• Holds the Cabin Crew Member certificate and rating required to serve as lead Cabin Crew Member.
  
• Has satisfactorily completed the appropriate training phases for the aircraft, including recurrent training, that are required to serve as lead Cabin Crew Member.
  
• Ha satisfactorily completed the appropriate proficiency, competency and regency of experience checks that are required to serve as a Cabin Crew Member.
  
• Has satisfactorily completed the applicable initial or transitional training requirements and the Authority-observed in-flight competency check and
  
• Holds at least a Cabin Crew Member medical certificate.
