Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Application form for Student Loan in Ghana is available in the registrar of Ghana citizen bank contact link
2. Applicant must provide necessary information in the application form.
3. Applicant must make sure to carry all necessary documents that are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page. (Both photocopies and originals)
4. Fees this procedure is free of charge.
5. Completed application form must be submitted to the respective office.
6. The application form is verified, the notifications will be sent to the applicant.
7. Applicant can applied their loan by visiting the office after receiving the notification.
8. The application form shall then be processed by the office.
9. If there is no information regarding loan is not adjusted by concerned authorities, the applicant can visit the office to know status of their application.

• Social security and driver’s license
• Federal tax returns, including W-2 tax forms and other recent records showing the income earned by you, your spouse and your child (if the child’s is a dependent)
• Federal student aid pin number, which will allow you to access the application and sign the form.
• Name of school(up to 10 can be listed on the application)

Eligibility

• The age of the candidate must fall within the bracket of 18 to 35 years during loan application. He/she must be undergoing a graduate/postgraduate degree or a PG diploma. The applicant should have a secured admission in a college or university affiliated by UGC/AICTE/Govt. etc.

Fees

• Fees this procedure is free of charge.

Validity

• The loan varies from 2-5 year basing on the duration of course of applicant. But Usually 3 years repayment after completion of the studies.

• The Students' Loan Scheme is a financial arrangement under which Ghanaian Students enrolled and pursuing approved courses in tertiary institutions in Ghana are granted loans to assist with the financing of their education.

Required Information

• Name of school
• Driver license number
• Social security number
• Monthly income and one most recent paystub
• Employer name, phone number and length of employment (if applicable)
• Monthly rent or mortgage payment
• Anticipated graduation date (MM/YYY)
• Loan amount requested
• Loan period for which funds are needed( can be an academic year, or a single semester)
• Co-singer name and valid email address
• Student borrower reference (name, address and phone number of someone who is not your co-singer )
