Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Get Permission for Conservancy in Ghana, the applicant must go to the Ada East District Assembly (AEDA) office contact link
2. Application form should obtain the respective office.
3. Also, make sure that the applicant has all the documents listed in the “Required documents” section of this page.
4. A fee for this procedure is has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
5. Submit the completed application form and pay the required application fee and submit the receipt as proof of payment.
6. This is followed by an inspection of applicants by the Board field Officers.
7. The Board field officers will make recommendations on the application and forward their report forwarded to Board’s Headquarters for the ultimate Board approval.
8. Upon a successful approval by the board a list of approved Bread is published in the Ghana gazette.
9. At this point the applicant is notified and he/she will be required to pay the respective license fee to the authority and submit the receipt as proof of payment.
10. Once the license processing is done the permit for Bread Confectioneries is issued to the applicant of license by the Authority.
11. This procedure take a maximum of 90 days to process.

• The Ada East District, formerly Dangme East District and was created in 1989 by Local Government Instrument, L. I. 1491.  By subsection (one) of section 3 of the Local Government Act, 1993 (Act 462), a new district (Ada West) was carved out of Dangme East with a new Local Government Legal Instrument (L.I 2130) a new  district which was established and  known as Ada East in June, 2012 with twenty seven electoral areas.
