Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for world bank small grant program (WBSGP) in Ghana, the applicant has to approach the world bank office contact link
2. Then, the applicant can get their application form for World Bank small grant program (WBSGP).
3. The Applicant (organization) should read the required criteria to identify the available funding programs that match their goals and qualifications.
4. Then you can fill the form, careful before submitting a completed form.
5. A fee for this procedure has to be paid as per authority request.
6. The next step is to attach the require documents. Get everything ready that you need to attach on the application such registration certificate,
7. Applicant will also need your support letter from the local Authority. You will also need proof document for your experience in handling grants, ownership forms plus any records of any benefits you received to support his/her proposal. And don't forget you will need your bank, asset, and mortgage information as well.
8. Submit your project proposal to the World Bank Ghana office.
9. Applicant organizations should submit a preliminary project concept note covering the proposal objectives, planned activities, implementation arrangement and estimated project cost.
10. On receiving applicant application the grant officer will register your application and be issued with a registration number. The small Grant program normally makes decision once in a year.
11. The applicant organization should submit their application well in advance of the grant activity to avoid unnecessary delay. Because it can take a number of months to process an application, applicant organizations should apply at least four to six months in advance of the date of the grant activity.
12. The Small Grant Committee will shall convene at Centre for development partner (CDP) offices once a year to screen the application and review them to ensure that all the required steps and documents are included in the application, including following up the criteria. The small Grant Program will give prompt consideration to all received proposals. Once approved, applicants receive his/her grant check that you'll never have to pay back.
