Apply In-Person:

  1. To Apply for permit search in person, the applicant has to approach the Ghana Land Commission office contact link
  2. Permit Search can be done in person by visiting the Land Commission Office or in any of their Land Offices in the applicant's Local district/ Sub County.
  3. Here, the applicant will be provided with an application for Official Search Form to fill and submit.
  4. This form can also be obtained from the Land Commission Office.
  5. The applicant has to make sure that he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
  6. Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
  7. Submit the completed form in two copies along with the supporting documents to the respective office.
  8. This application will be processed and the information will be verified by the LC office.
  9. After the search, one is issued with a stamped Certificate of Official Search Form showing the status of the land.
  10. The permit search at the Lands office takes an average of 3 days.

  • 3 site plans must have visible grid values and site plans must be drawn to a scale of 1:2500 or any appropriate standard scale.
