Apply In-Person:

  1. The Pauper Burial or Unclaimed Bodies Permit is issued by the authorities in the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) Office. Contact link
  2. The applicant must obtain the application form from the authorities in the AMA office.
  3. The application form must be filled with the necessary details.
  4. The applicant has to make sure he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
  5. Application fee details shall be provided by the concerned licensing officer.
  6. The filled application form must be submitted to the authorities in the AMA Office.
  7. The prescribed fee must be paid by the applicant, and the receipt of payment must be attached with the application form.
  8. Submit the completed forms along with the supporting documents at the respective office for verification and processing.
  9. This application will be processed and the information will be verified by the AMA office.
  10. If the verification is successful, the notification will be sent to the applicant.
  11. After getting the notification from the concerned authorities, the applicant can visit the office to collect their document.
  12. Generally, the processing time for this procedure is 2 weeks.
